Big boy
Those types days of days don’t roll around all that often. But when they do, you need to know you can trust your board. Enter the Big boy, your next step up - a performance sled for those once-in-a-blue-moon sessions. Meant to be ridden 1 to 2 inches longer than your everyday performance board, it gets into waves super early, holds its line and turns on a dime. Essentially, we’ve combined everything you need for quality surfing - wide point moved forward, thinned-out rails and a low entry/steep exit rocker - so you can shred when the waves are firing.
The thickness is also pushed forward, which helps even more with getting you into waves easily, and we kept the tail and rails thinned out to help hold through barrels and turns at speed.
The rocker is med/low through the front half to get you into waves easily and pick up speed quickly. The rear end has plenty of rocker curve for turning control and a snappy responsiveness.
Single concave runs through the entire bottom, with a double concave set inside, which equals speed and lift both on a rail and over flat spots while allowing for quick rail-to-rail transitions.
Recommended skill level: Upper intermediate to advanced
Recommended wave height: 6ft - 10ft+
Fin type: FCS2 or Futures
Fin configuration: Thruster (5-fin setup upon request)
Tail: Rounded pin
